Indian Visa
As of September 2020, Indian visa requirements for Russian citizens are as follows: INDIAN VISA FOR RUSSIAN CITIZENS
-A valid Russian passport;
-An invitation from a host in India, either an individual or an organization;
-A completed Visa Application Form, available on the website of the Embassy of India in Moscow;
-Two recent passport photographs;
-Proof of onward travel from India.
These requirements are subject to change, so it is always best to check with the Embassy of India in Moscow prior to applying for a visa.
Russian and Singapore citizen
As of September 2019, citizens of Russia can apply for an e-Visa to enter India. The e-Visa is valid for 60 days from the date of issue, and allows for multiple entries into India.
To apply for an e-Visa, Russian citizens will need to have a valid passport, as well as a credit or debit card to pay the visa fee. The application process is completed online, and once approved, the e-Visa will be sent to the applicant’s email address.
Once in India, Russian citizens are allowed to travel freely within the country, and can visit any of the following locations: Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai, Kolkata, Hyderabad, Bengaluru, Kochi, Thiruvananthapuram, Pune and Ahmedabad. INDIAN VISA FOR SINGAPORE CITIZENS
How to obtain Indian Visa
If you are a Russian citizen and you want to visit India, you will need to obtain an Indian visa. The process for doing this is as follows:
- You will need to fill out an online application form. This can be found on the website of the Indian consulate or embassy in your country.
- Once you have completed the online application form, you will need to submit it along with all of the required supporting documents. These include your passport, two passport-sized photographs, and a copy of your travel itinerary.
- You will then need to pay the visa fee, which is currently $60 for a single-entry visa or $100 for a multiple-entry visa. Payment can be made by credit card, bank transfer, or cashier’s check.
- Once your application and payment have been received, it will take approximately 4-5 weeks for your visa to be processed and issued. You should then receive your visa by mail.
Documents Required
All Russian citizens who wish to apply for an Indian visa must do so through the Indian embassy or consulate in their country of residence. The following documents are required for all visa applications:
-A valid passport with at least six months remaining before expiration
-A duly completed and signed visa application form
-Two recent passport-size photographs
-A letter of invitation from a company or individual in India, if applicable
-Proof of sufficient financial means to support your stay in India
-A return ticket or onward journey ticket, if applicable
In addition to the above documents, those applying for a business visa will also need to submit a letter from their employer detailing the purpose of their trip to India. Those applying for a tourist visa will need to provide proof of hotel reservations or other travel itinerary.
