Starting May 1, 2017, Canada is offering five new visas for South Korean citizens. The new visas are the C-1 transit visa, the C-2 visitor visa, the C-3 work visa, the C-4 student visa, and the C-5 family reunion visa. CANADA VISA FOR SOUTH KOREA CITIZENS
The C-1 transit visa is for people who are traveling to Canada for a short period of time and are not intending to stay longer than six months. The C-2 visitor visa is for people who are coming to Canada for tourism or business purposes and who do not have any other purpose of staying in Canada other than visiting. The C-3 work visa is for people who are coming to Canada to work and who have a job offer from a Canadian company. The C-4 student visa is for students who are coming to Canada to study at a Canadian university or college. The C-5 family reunion visa is for people who are coming to Canada to visit their family members and who have proof that they will be residing with their family members while in Canada.

Latvia and South Korea have been longstanding allies with Canada, so it only makes sense that Canada would offer visa-free travel to these two countries for their nationals. The five new visas are all for business or tourism purposes and can be obtained by applying at a Canadian consulate in your respective country.
